Day 6

I called the foster coordinator for advice on the small kitten, and I was told that I was doing all that I could. I tried to take the other babies away from mama, but she would get up whenever she heard a kitten crying. It just wasn't working out for the her. So last night, after several attempts to wrestle the little runt into submission, she finally decided to give in to syringe feeding. After a few pats on the back, we placed her back with her littermates, and when I stopped in before bed, they were all sleeping soundly. It's a huge relief to see that nobody was smashing her, like they usually did.

  1. Aww, they're all so cute. Have you named them yet? I am glad the runt is starting to take the bottle. If that stops working or you need more suggestions, e-mail me and I will check with one of our neonate cat experts and see if they have any other advice.
